I'm like a kid with a new toy. I have sealed everything in my freezer and even every vegetable I purchase. Veggies last twice as long (no waste). No more freezer burn. I had no idea which sealing machine to buy so I went with one of the lowest priced in case it didn't do the job. My decision was a good one. Works slick, has already more than paid for itself. Previously, used bags and a battery operated pump but 1/2 the bags leaked while using them in the sous vide. Now the only time there is liquid in the bag is from the water the meat, fish and poultry companies inject so they can charge more for nothing. I lay my meat on a plate with a paper towel for a day, add my spices and they seal the meat and freeze, that takes care of most of the wasted water that was injected and I am infusing the meat with spices while they are in the freezer. I feel like a chef. :)) Highly recommend!!
So far it's perfect. I was married a week ago today, and when I went to vacuum seal my wedding cake my FoodSaver quit. It was old and I loved it.I froze my cake until my new Bonsenkitchen vacuum sealer arrived. Used my foodsaver bag to seal my cake.I will be recommending to others.Update. It's almost time to eat our 1 yr food savor, saved wedding cake.I'll update again soon.Want to add though I love my food savor machine!!
I bought my food saver because I was tired of all the ice crystal forming on my meat and anything I froze in freezer zip lock bags. It was impossible to get all the air out of the bags. No problem with my Food Saver.
